With a fresh firmware update, Samsung has begun distributing the January 2023 security patch to compatible Galaxy devices. The most recent security update fixes roughly 20 SVEs for the One UI programme and 52 high-level CVEs for the Android operating system.

Samsung first released the January 2023 Android security patch for the Galaxy Note 10 series, and it is now available for an increasing number of devices. Due to the delayed distribution of software updates, availability may differ by area or network provider.

As soon as it downloads, your Galaxy device will alert you about the new software update. In the interim, manually checking for fresh OTA is rather simple. Simply go to system settings, click on the software update, then click on Download and instal.

ONE UI 5

The most recent One UI 5 software from Samsung, which made its debut on October 24, has already begun to roll out on almost all compatible Galaxy phones and tablets. As of December 9 around the globe, the company released a Stable Android 13 update for over 46 different Galaxy device models.

New visual effects and enhanced system animations were introduced by the new firmware version. There are new tools for the user interface that make it simple to modify the lock screen and home screen. Additionally, One UI elements now adhere to the Material You design language even better.

 ONE UI 5.1

Samsung is anticipated to introduce its top Galaxy S23 smartphones next month. In addition to the new One UI 5.1 software, which is based on the Android 13 OS, future phones are expected to have improved hardware. By the end of February or the beginning of March 2023, the company might begin releasing the One UI 5.1 update.

Samsung started rolling out January 2023 security patch to eligible Galaxy devices with a new firmware update. The latest security patch brings fixes for 52 high levels of CVEs for the Android operating system along with about 20 SVEs for the One UI software.

For Galaxy Note 10 series, Samsung initially debuted the January 2023 Android security patch, which is continuously expanding to more and more devices. Since software update rollout happens gradually, availability may vary by region or network carrier.

Your Galaxy device will notify you about the new software update, as soon as it grabs. Meanwhile, it’s quite easy to check for new OTA manually. You just need to navigate to System Settings, then Software update, followed by Download and install.
